In the heart of Soho, Jake Burton founder of
Burton Snowboards unveils the uniforms for the 2014 Winter Olympics Sochi Games. The uniform was inspired by American heritage and incorporates Americana and the American flag. Greg Dacyshyn, Chief Creative Office at Burton Snowboards gave me a quick walk-through of the collection. He said they wanted to make something technical without looking technical yet still familiar and comfortable. One of the things he was referring to was DRYRIDE nano shell laminate that features waterproof/ breathable membrane to keep the riders warm and dry. This plus the fun approach to design that Burton is known for creates one very unique uniform at any team will be proud to wear to represent their country.
