3-Ways To Wear Monkstraps

Let's talk about the classic and dapper monkstrap. This style is not only for going to work. Here are three different ways to wear them and get the most out of them. These particular monkstraps are very special, you see, these were especially made for me. True story. The Left Shoe Company, is a made to measure shoe company. I had the pleasure of meeting with them and going through the experience. You first put on a yellow and green pair of socks with a grid on them, step on to their special imaging machine and it takes care of the rest. In a few minutes they have all your details and go over what styles are best suited for your feet. I chose the monkstraps and they fit amazingly! With the holidays just around the corner you should put this on your wish list.

What you don't see are the no-show socks from Mack Weldon. Don't be a hero, wear socks.

Wear Black Even In The Summer

In New York you can never go wrong no matter the season by wearing all black. When it comes to this look it's really all about the fabrics. The jacket by Isaora is light but strong and perfect for windy and rainy days.

You Can Take The Boy Out Of The City

....But you can't take the city out of the boy.

On my latest trip to San Diego the first things I grabbed were all dark items something that is totally not part of Southern California's fashion culture. My travel essentials for this trip include a  Retro Fox classic pique polo because no matter where you are in the US it's a step up from a t-shirt. The Jacob Davis raw denim jeans make everything I wear look cool and they're perfect for fall. For shoes I chose my beat up Chuck Taylors, they're like a fine wine and get better with age. And I recently got the bracelet from Giles and Brother and it immediately became one of my staples. When I travel I avoid looking like a tourist at all costs and find that pieces like these do the trick.

The final installment of Made In The USA features denim by Jacob Davis. I'm wearing the Rider Skinny jeans in raw selvedge and these jeans fit like a glove. I can't wait to break them in. Jacob Davis started about a year ago and is based out of California. There they make amazing denim like the one I'm wearing using great tailoring and fabrics which include American, Italian and Japanese selvage denims.  Creative Director, Jason Ferro said "Our goal is quiet simply to make the best blue jeans and tailored men's garments in the world."In addition to denim they also make shirts, blazers, hoodies and leather jackets- basically everything you might need.
