#FBF: Wall Of Sound with Mark Ronson

Every time I listen to Uptown Funk I can't help but think of my shoot with producer extraordinaire, Mark Ronson. So on this special edition of Flashback Friday, I think back of my days as a fashion stylist assistant on set for British GQ's April 2008 issue. These are just a few of the shots from the editorial but you get the idea of the amazing space we were in. We went to a warehouse in Queens where every floor seemed taken from a page from Alice In Wonderland. It was truly unforgettable.

A Perfect Blazer For Fall

Blaze- Jack Wills | Sweater- ASOS | Chinos- J.Crew

I'm sporting a couple of new things in this picture one of them this great blazer from Jack Wills the other a beard- both essentials for this fall. The Belgrave blazer is my go-to to keep warm (even in 30 degree weather) paired with a cashmere sweater and scarf you are set and looking polished. I love the pink that shows when you pop the color…it's an unexpected surprise. With wool blazers you have options and I love that. You can wear them with jeans or with chinos you won't go wrong.

En esta foto tengo dos cosas nuevas una de ellas es la chaqueta de Jack Wills la otra es una barba- dos cosas esenciales para el otoño. La chaqueta Belgrave de Jack Wills es lo primero que agarro cuando quiero ponerme una chaqueta. Aun en temporadas bajas la chaqueta me mantiene abrigado y con estilo. Me encanta el detalle de el color rosado en el cuello…totalmente inesperado. Con chaquetas de lana tienes opciones y eso me encanta. Te los puedes poner con vaqueros (jeans) o con pantalones de salir. Cualquiera que escojas te veras bien.

A Short Intro to Kent & Curwen

The Library at SoHo House was the perfect setting for the Kent & Curwen fall 2013 preview and viewing of the Royal Charity Polo Cup. Only a few looks were presented and that's all it took to understand what this company is about. Kent & Curwen started in the early 1900's and has provided clothing to members of the British Royal family for years. They are very proud of their heritage and produce great attire for the modern gentleman. One of the best parts of viewing the collection in person is being able to touch the clothes. The fabrics are of the highest quality- some of the softest cashmere and supple leather out there. The good news is they'll become available stateside this fall. They'll first be available at Bloomingdale's and then open a stand alone store on Madison Ave.
