Do-si DO's for Nashville

Even as a non-country music lover Nashville, Tennessee was great for a getaway. You'll learn about one of the country's music industry hubs and discover some cool places. You'll go to enjoy the live music playing along Broadway, take a trolley to tour the city, find an exact replica of the Parthenon in the middle of a park and eat delicious food. In a couple of days you'll find you feel right at home. Go see more touristy pics in my IG story.

Coincidentally during my visit to Downtown Nashville, Wrangler opened a pop-up shop just a couple of blocks away from Broadway and all the Honky Tonks. Make sure to make your way over and check out the latest offerings, a legit denim bar and even a stage for live music performances during the weekends. Get more details here.

Spring Blues

We're practically half way through May and we still can't put away our sweaters here in the northeast. So here I am embracing the cold temperatures with this Wrangler sweatshirt and still feeling like it's spring with the Sebago boat shoes. How are you making your outfits work with this indecisive weather?

I'm a sucker for the color blue and comfortable sweatshirts. So this one here was a win-win!

These Sebago boat shoes have become my go-to's for spring and summer.

Summer Smile

How has your summer been? Please tell me you've had BBQs, trips to the beach or taken advantage of all the fun the warmer weather has to offer. I can't hold back a smile as I think of all the adventures this season and there are still a few in store.

Grooming Guide 2016

Originally motivated by Movember, I ended up keeping my beard once the month was over. During that time I learned how to take care of it. The arsenal that's been helping me maintain my beard, smile and skin healthy throughout the season include some well known names and some newcomers that are worth your consideration.

1-Kiehl's Age Defender Power Serum: There comes a time in every man's life that you have to admit that you are getting older. This anti-aging serum is light weight and not greasy. My skin feels refreshed as soon as I apply it.

2-Braun Series 9: A beard is great but keep it clean around the neck. This shaver will do just that and its such a close shave you'll be pleased every time.

3-Colgate Optic White: I've been using it for a few months now and noticed how much whiter my teeth are. Follow the instructions and you'll see a brighter smile!

4-Lab Series Instant Eye Lift: Not sure about you but sometimes my brain can't stop thinking when it's time to go to bed. Enter Lab Series's Instant Eye Lift for us insomniacs.

5-Phillips Norelco Multigroom: This is the most essential tool you should have if you have a beard. With the easy to use attachments you'll feel empowered to take care of your beard.

6-Baxter Shave Tonic: As you're taking care of your beard don't forget skin maintenance. This tonic will help open pores and lift hair pre-shave. Post-shave it will help close pores and it will have you smelling minty fresh.

7- Redbeard Brand's Beer'd Conditioner: It has been a life saver during these harsh wintery days. I apply it to my beard and it's helped avoid dry skin and I'm a fan of the eucalyptus scent.

A Bit of A Western Feel

I've been a fan of the denim on denim trend for quite some time. But I've been wondering how I can put my own spin on it especially for this season. Once, I got my hands on this Bailey hat it got me thinking and this is what I came up with. It has a bit of a western feel and I'm diggin' it. To counter the all blue look I added some black accessories like the hat, belt, shoes and even one of the bracelets.

What I Wore: Transitional Spring

We are in a month that can almost be considered spring but yet mother nature is not on the same page. One day the temperature is in the 50's and others in the 30's. Here's what I recommend for the slightly warmer days, the days you'd gladly venture out to the park and sit in the sun for your lunch break. The key is if you need to layer, make sure they are cotton so that they breath easier. If you like the look but it's a bit too cold add a blazer or denim jacket depending on how causal you want to look. Also, glad to say that for the first time I'm wearing a polka dot shirt! I'm slowly getting used to it so I wore a sweater on top of it so the polka dots are just showing every so. This is in a new venture for me and I'm taking baby steps. I'll show you the whole shirt in the near future, promise.

RED, The New Wrangler Line

Wrangler just launched their new line, RED and these are not your grandfather's jeans. Craig Errington, Vice President, Wrangler Marketing took the time to answer some of my questions about the new line.

Why is the line called RED?
As our team explored names for the new line, we felt it was important to reinforce the brand heritage customers know and trust. Red is synonymous with Wrangler and truly reflects the heritage of the brand.

What makes this new collection different from what we've seen already from Wrangler?
With the Wrangler Jeans Co. RED collection, we're filling a void in the marketplace for this type of product. The line is designed for fashion-forward millennial men who are brand conscious and value driven. These men aren't willing to invest $80+ on a pair of jeans, or $60 on a shirt. The Wrangler Jeans Co. RED man is searching for affordable options from a brand name they know and trust.

The collection breaks the mold of what you expect from Wrangler, including slim silhouettes we've offered before with attention to details on every inch of the garment.

Where can this line be purchased?
The Fall 2014 product line will be available this sum me, nationwide, at mass market retailers and Wrangler.com for around $20.

I'm wearing the vintage skinny fit and as you can see they're a great fit. You can partner them with a t-shirt or shirt and you're ready to go. The wash works all year round so you'll get the most out of these jeans. Check out the rest of the new (slimmer) line at Wrangler.com.

After writing about the different lesser known options for men's underwear I continued learning about more new brands, this time they're all based in the USA. The first one is MeUndies, they're probably the softest I've ever felt and they also do t-shirts and socks for men and women. I'm sure you've heard of Wrangler but did you know they also do underwear? Their price point is hard to beat and you'll find they have a wide variety of colors and styles. I also found out about Justin Case, this underwear brand is only a few weeks old and you must check them out. They're a great flattering cut and their simple logo makes for a less distracting design. Men, there are more and more options out there for underwear check these options and see the difference.
