Colognes are something I think men can learn more about and be willing to expand their options.  How many colognes do you own and use? I really want to know, so please comment below! As time has passed I've been more perceptive and willing to try out new scents. When you try out different colognes you'll learn what you like and what you don't. There's needs to be that trial and error. Fortunately this is not life or death, so take some risks. If you feel you need a brief introduction to the world of fragrances and its jargon then go here. After checking out my cologne guide you'll be able to articulate your thoughts on why you like it or not. 3- Ways To Wear The Army Shirt

In this installment of the 3-Ways to Wear series it's all shot Selfie style. This past week my vintage German army shirt has been my go-to item. I ended up using it as a light jacket and never regretted it. How many pieces do you own that are this versatile? I found this one Polo Ralph Lauren  and Michael Bastian to be great options.

If you want something more authentic like mine check out an army surplus store near you. In NYC the best place is Kaufman's Army and Navy.

The college stripe scarf originated across the pond and was then inherited by the ivy league schools. Now anyone with style can wear them. I love the boldness of the stripes against the solid sweater. Go ahead be a little old school with your scarf. British GQ features Downton Abbey

I got a little artsy on the picture above, hope you don't mind. The temperature here in SoCal has been unseasonably warm for this time of year but finally we're in the 60's so now we can wear sweaters. On the last installment of Get The Look For Fall II I wore a tweed blazer. Here my focus is on the tweed tie. I got mine at American Eagle of all places and wear it as often as I can. Partnered with a black v-neck sweater, which every man should have and an olive/ military green shirt it makes for a great modern look. I pair it here jeans but you can easily wear chinos too.

Me lo puse con un suéter negro de cuello v (todo caballero debe tener un suéter negro de cuello v), y con una camisa color verde oliva esto hace un look moderno. Yo tengo puesto jeans pero chinos tambien son una buena opción.

Nothing says fall like a tweed herringbone blazer. The one I'm wearing is vintage and its seriously one of my fall/winter staples. I was able to find some herringbone blazer in a wide range of prices and labels like Billie Reid, Club Monaco and Tallia. A herringbone blazer is an investment piece, it's worth spending a little more than you usually would spend on clothes because it will last you for ever. As for a plaid shirt, the options I found are a bit more reasonably priced. That makes for a great high-low look. Para mi el otoño requiere una chaqueta de tweed. El que tengo puesto es de segunda mano y es algo que me pongo durante el otoño e invierno. Pude encontrar algunos ejemplos de chaquetas de tweed en una variedad de precios de marcas como Billie Reid, Club Monaco y Tallia. As Seen on Rue La La: How To Keep The Spirit of Summer

My way of holding on to summer is exploring nearby neighborhoods. Fortunately, I live ten minutes away from Pacific Beach in San Diego, CA. There you’ll find a fair with a roller coaster all year round, cool shops, and great food all along the boardwalk.

WHAT TO WEAR
So, what should you wear on a day trip like this? You have to be ready for anything because the temperature can drop 10–15 degrees at night. These are my essentials: white short-sleeve button-down shirt by Club Monaco, H&M striped t-shirt, Ralph Lauren khaki shorts, and if it gets cold in the evening, a J.Crew cotton-cashmere cardigan. As for footwear, Jack Purcells are classic, they’ll always look great. And a Filson bag is a great choice to put your other essentials in.

One last thing, do not be afraid to mix it, as you can see gingham and stripes look mighty fine together.
