What I Wore: Transitional Spring

We are in a month that can almost be considered spring but yet mother nature is not on the same page. One day the temperature is in the 50's and others in the 30's. Here's what I recommend for the slightly warmer days, the days you'd gladly venture out to the park and sit in the sun for your lunch break. The key is if you need to layer, make sure they are cotton so that they breath easier. If you like the look but it's a bit too cold add a blazer or denim jacket depending on how causal you want to look. Also, glad to say that for the first time I'm wearing a polka dot shirt! I'm slowly getting used to it so I wore a sweater on top of it so the polka dots are just showing every so. This is in a new venture for me and I'm taking baby steps. I'll show you the whole shirt in the near future, promise.

Cable Knits Are For Fall

The cable knit sweater is one of the season's staples. Luckily, there are a lot of options out there on fabrics and patterns. For these transitional months, a cotton cable knit sweater is thick enough to keep you warm but not so warm you're sweating if the temperature get's a bit warmer. Pair it with a plaid flannel shirt and you are set.

Take Summer To Fall

Mother nature has quite the sense of humor. Fall is technically hear but the temperature is in the 80's one day and in the 60's the next. There is no need for heavy leather boots just yet. Here is one look with two different footwear options to help with the flux. The first option is Teva, with their collaboration with Woolrich (available 11/15/2014) this sandal and socks combination keeps it ultra comfortable. The second option is canvas sneakers like these Gola sneakers. I kept the Woolrich socks and added the white canvas sneakers to brighten things up. These options will help you find that in-between look you might be searching for while the temperature is ever-changing.

ManchicXAdentro

Jorge Gallegos a.k.a Manchic reached out and asked me to be part of his ManchicX series where he partners with another blogger and styles him Manchic style while the other blogger styles him with their own personal style. I went ahead and styled him in a cool and relaxed look for the weekend. With the temperature dropping a cardigan and blazer are a perfect match. After the shoot we talked about each others personal style and what inspires us...read on.

- How would you describe your style?

My style is definitely very editorial and fashion forward. I can go from dandy guy during the day to club kid at night. For me, getting dress is so much fun. I love mixing trends to create an unique outfit… I'm very influenced by the 80's - Bring them back please! Rock & Roll and pop culture.

- Who are your Style Icons?

That is a tough question… However, I would say James Dean is without a doubt one of them. I'm obsessed with the whole bad-boy-look; and the hair… just amazing. Prince Pelayo, David Beckham, and Nick Wooster are also on my list.

- Do you have a secret or tip to share to dress better?
Here's what I think: it doesn't really matter how much money you pay for clothes, it's all about how you style it. You could be wearing all labels clothes, but if they styling is not right, your outfit will look terrible. So I would encourage you to splurge in key pieces such as basics, shoes and bags and go with something more affordable for the rest of your outfit.
