Guys, there's no need to be afraid of leather- it's always been a part of men's fashion. These days you'll find leather in new ways so you'll have more options. Here are a few new and some classic ways we can come to make leather part of a man's fall wardrobe.

3-Ways To Wear Monkstraps

Let's talk about the classic and dapper monkstrap. This style is not only for going to work. Here are three different ways to wear them and get the most out of them. These particular monkstraps are very special, you see, these were especially made for me. True story. The Left Shoe Company, is a made to measure shoe company. I had the pleasure of meeting with them and going through the experience. You first put on a yellow and green pair of socks with a grid on them, step on to their special imaging machine and it takes care of the rest. In a few minutes they have all your details and go over what styles are best suited for your feet. I chose the monkstraps and they fit amazingly! With the holidays just around the corner you should put this on your wish list.

What you don't see are the no-show socks from Mack Weldon. Don't be a hero, wear socks.

Outfit of the Day: New Year's Eve

It's here, New Year's Eve and if you decided to go out and celebrate but barely have time to think of what would be appropriate here is one look you can easily copy. I thought this year I'd try a more sophisticated outfit. I decided on wearing a Jack Wills charcoal suit because it's such a classic color and you seriously can't go wrong with that. My shirt is a patchwork plaid shirt from ASOS- any plaid shirt will do the trick. For the bow tie I decided to go with this great olive green one from Men In Cities. The bow tie gives the look color without being obnoxious. Not sure if you're a bow tie kind of guy, then wear a solid tie. Either way you'll look good ushering in the new year!

Casi ha llegado el año nuevo y si has decidido salir y celebrar pero apenas tienes tiempo de pensar en que ponerte este look es fácil de copiar. Este año decidí vestirme un poco mas elegante que los años anteriores. Tengo puesto un gabán de Jack Wills en gris oscuro por que es un color clásico y nunca te se ve mal. Mi camisa es de cuadros de ASOS. Facilmente cualquier camisa de cuadros te dará este look. Me puse una pajarita verde oliva de Men In Cities. La corbata de lazo le da color al look sin ser muy llamativo. Si no estas seguro si la pajarita es tu estilo ponte una corbata eso si, tiene que ser un color solido. Cualquiera que decidas te veras bien dandole la bien venida al año nuevo!

ASOS Spring/Summer 2014

British online retailer ASOS doesn't have just one spring/summer collection that just filters through a couple of months. They have a bunch of little collections that have their own personality but go hand in hand with each other which are released throughout the season. One of the advantages of being an e-commerce is the ability to host a variety of designs. A common thread in all the mini-collections, how I like to call them, is color and pattern. You'll find saturated colors and bright colors and items with bold patterns- in other words you are bound to find something here you like.

ManchicXAdentro

Jorge Gallegos a.k.a Manchic reached out and asked me to be part of his ManchicX series where he partners with another blogger and styles him Manchic style while the other blogger styles him with their own personal style. I went ahead and styled him in a cool and relaxed look for the weekend. With the temperature dropping a cardigan and blazer are a perfect match. - How would you describe your style?

My style is definitely very editorial and fashion forward. I can go from dandy guy during the day to club kid at night. For me, getting dress is so much fun. I love mixing trends to create an unique outfit… I'm very influenced by the 80's - Bring them back please! Rock & Roll and pop culture.

- Who are your Style Icons?

That is a tough question… However, I would say James Dean is without a doubt one of them. I'm obsessed with the whole bad-boy-look; and the hair… just amazing. Prince Pelayo, David Beckham, and Nick Wooster are also on my list.

- Do you have a secret or tip to share to dress better?
Here's what I think: it doesn't really matter how much money you pay for clothes, it's all about how you style it. You could be wearing all labels clothes, but if they styling is not right, your outfit will look terrible. So I would encourage you to splurge in key pieces such as basics, shoes and bags and go with something more affordable for the rest of your outfit.

The shirt I'm wearing has a small purple check so I chose a navy and purple striped tie to play with the pattern and color. Keep it classic by wearing khaki chinos and you'll be set for work.

La camisa que tengo puesto tiene cuadrados pequeños de color violeta entonces lo combine con una corbata de rayas azul marino y violeta para jugar con el patrón y el color. Ponte pantalones de kaki para mantener el look clásico y apropiado para el trabajo.

Let a leather jacket give you that cool factor and change up the neckwear by wearing a knit tie. You can't go wrong with a black tie and the fact that it's a knit tie will add a good mix of textures with the smooth leather jacket.

A bow tie is a great option to spice things up. This one has a fleur de lis pattern but stripes or polka dots will also look great. Don't let yourself get in a rut- mix patterns, use different fabrics and styles of ties when wearing a spread collar shirt!

#TBT Roberto Bolle And Friends Gala Press Conference

A couple of weeks ago I was invited to attend the press conference for the Roberto Bolle And Friends Gala event at the Italian consulate. It was a memorable experience not only because it was my first press conference but I got to see how important the celebration of Italian culture is to the people in attendance. 

In addition to the Consul General of Italy, Natalia Quintavalle who welcomed everyone to the press conference, Gabriella Scarpa, President of Acqua di Parma spoke about Italian Culture and the Gala event. She said "I am more than proud to support the Italian culture and particularly, Roberto Bolle, one of the worlds greatest dancers and the undisputed Ambassador of the highest artistic and cultural expression of our country." 

Roberto Bolle said, "I am proud to be the art director of the 'Roberto Bolle and Friends Gala,' because I think it perfectly represents the culture and the beauty of the Italian people and of my country"

Not only was I  nervous about my first time at a press conference I was also concerned about what I was going to wear. I decided to keep it simple and chic with shades of gray. I felt completely comfortable in a trouser, dress shirt and tie. At the press conference I wasn't over dressed nor under dressed which is just how I like it.

3 maneras De Ponerse Un Gabán

You already know how to wear a shirt and tie with your suit. Here is how to maximize what you already own or will own in the near future. As soon as I laid eyes on this ASOS suit I knew I wanted it and all these different ways to wear it came to mind.

Ya sabes como ponerte tu gabán con una camisa y corbata. Aqui vas a ver cuantas maneras hay para utilizar lo que ya tienes y tendrás entre poco. Cuando vi este gaban de ASOS enseguida supe que lo quería y pense en todas estas maneras en como ponerme lo.

Use the blazer as a sports coat. If you get a neutral color like grey, navy and khaki without a particular pattern like herringbone or pinstripes you'll find it easier to use as a separate. In some parts of the country the temperature drops in the evenings. This look is great for a night out and you can opt out of the cardigan and still look sharp.

Usalo como un jacket. Escoge un color neutral como gris, azul marino, o khaki sin diseño para que sea mas facil de combinar. En algunas partes del país todavía hace frío cuando oscurece. Este look es perfecto para salir en la noche y fácilmente te quitas el cardigan y todavía te veras bien. 

I wore this look for an event and felt so comfortable, even though I was wearing a suit I wasn't over dressed. Note- here is another use for your stripe t-shirt. If your like me you probably have half a dozen of them.

Yo me puse este look para un evento la semana pasada y me senti tan comodo. Aunque tenia puesto el gabán no me sentí muy formal. Ojo- aquí hay otro oportunidad para ponerte tu camiseta de rallas. Si eres como yo tienes algunas cuantas. 

A polo can go a long way, keep it chic and simple with a black, navy or grey polo. Want to be bold go for green, yellow and red. Remember a smile is the perfect accessory it shows that you're comfortable and people will take notice.

Un polo realmente es esencial, manten un look chic con el color negro, gris, y azul marino. Quieres ser mas llamativo? Ponte uno de color verde, rojo o amarillo. Recuerda que una sonrisa es el acesorio perfecto eso muestra que estas comodo y los que te rodean lo van anotar.

One of the things that I've learned about the fashion industry is that it's always working on seasons ahead of the current season. Believe me, when I say that for me to talk about the ASOS fall 2013 in May is not as strange as you might think. I checked out their Fall Preview and was greeted by really great looks. ASOS's prices make it so everyone can look cool without breaking the bank. Expect to see this fall a variety of styles from classic cable knit sweaters, statement pieces like oversized buffalo check print polos, and edgy midnight blue smoking jackets. Una de las cosas que he aprendido de la industria de la moda es que siempre esta adelantada varias temporadas de la temperado actual. Creéme cuando te digo que al yo hablar de la colección de otoño de ASOS en pleno mes de Mayo no es tan extraño como piensas. Fui a ver la colección de otoño 2013 y vi muchas cosas que me gustaron. Los precios de ASOS permiten que todos puedan vestir en lo ultimo de la moda sin gastar mucho. Lo que veras este otoño será suéteres de punto de cable, polos de Buffalo check, y chaquetas azul marino con toques modernos. Spring is about transition and the denim jacket is great for that time of year. I looked around and my favorites are from ASOS and JCrew. As pictured here you can wear a denim jacket with jeans just make sure they're a darker wash. You can also wear the denim jacket with chinos, a button down shirt and tie, It'll have you looking very sharp. Remember, the denim jacket is a classic so you'll never have to get rid of it. 

La primavera es una temporada de transición y la chaqueta vaquera es ideal. Encontré mis dos favoritas en ASOS y JCrew. Como puedes ver aquí, te puedes poner una chaqueta de mezclilla con pantalones vaqueros sólo asegúrete de que sea un color más oscuro. On a recent visit to the ASOS showroom I was greeted by these great looks for Spring 2013. Although the weather in the east coast does not lend itself yet to some of these pieces the rest of you can totally indulge. The styles are on point and the prices are jaw dropping.
