Do-si DO's for Nashville

Even as a non-country music lover Nashville, Tennessee was great for a getaway. You'll learn about one of the country's music industry hubs and discover some cool places. You'll go to enjoy the live music playing along Broadway, take a trolley to tour the city, find an exact replica of the Parthenon in the middle of a park and eat delicious food. A Day With Lady Liberty

I've lived in New York City for about 15 years, boy time flies! Never had I visited the Statue of Liberty. One of my goals for this year is to take advantage of this wonderful city. With everything happening in the political arena more than ever this symbol of liberty stands out as a beacon on what this country was built upon. Guys, if you ever have the chance go to this National Park, marvel at the view of downtown New York City and of this national symbol of liberty.

Leather Weather

Mother Nature has been quite fickle this season and I'm okay with that as it lets me enjoy the newest additions to my wardrobe, a moto jacket from Andrew Marc and Sperry boots. These pieces are part of the new classic styles you'll see from now on. I like to call them no-brainer pieces that you'll never regret owning.

Love the subtle details of the moto jacket and quilted shoulder.

Love at first sipp. Sipp sparkling organic drinks have a wide variety of flavors. To be honest I still haven't decided which one is my favorite. Right now, Mojo Berry is on top of the list.

PLAC Spring/Summer 2016

PLAC's Spring/Summer 2016 was inspired by the song "Wake Up" by Arcade Fire. PLAC wanted to convey a positive message to the younger generation having conflicts with society. The collection was also inspired by sportswear and military looks but still using energetic colors and clean design. Proportions were also a significant factor found through each look. You'll still be able to find classic American pieces like the sweatshirt and denim but done with the PLAC point of view.

Get Personalized at The Tailory New york

Right off one of the most famous streets in the world, Fifth Ave in New York City you'll find The Tailory New York. They are a luxury clothier that specializes in making custom pieces for both men and women to fit their lifestyle. I was invited to come in and have The Tailory experience first hand. Once there, they already had  an inspiration board for me of shirts they thought I would like based on what they saw me wear on my blog. They hit the nail on the head when their main recommendation was a band collar shirt. With a true spirit of collaboration we talked about the style options for the shirt. We decided on a short sleeve shirt and then went on to select the fabric. I knew I wanted it to be a white shirt. We had to think about the weight of the fabric, texture etc. Do you know how many white fabric options they had? Books and books of them including books from Loro Piana and Scabal. The final product is a one of a kind short sleeve banded collared shirt. Take a look at some of the details and how it fits like a glove.

What I Wore: Transitional Spring

We are in a month that can almost be considered spring but yet mother nature is not on the same page. One day the temperature is in the 50's and others in the 30's. Here's what I recommend for the slightly warmer days, the days you'd gladly venture out to the park and sit in the sun for your lunch break. The key is if you need to layer, make sure they are cotton so that they breath easier. If you like the look but it's a bit too cold add a blazer or denim jacket depending on how causal you want to look. Also, glad to say that for the first time I'm wearing a polka dot shirt! I'm slowly getting used to it so I wore a sweater on top of it so the polka dots are just showing every so. This is in a new venture for me and I'm taking baby steps. I'll show you the whole shirt in the near future, promise.

Holiday Style

Planning what to wear for holiday parties and New Year's Eve can be a little daunting but remember you don't have to reinvent the wheel. You probably already have some great pieces that will have you looking good and feeling confident. This look is all about the classics including the herringbone blazer and selvedge jeans from Bluer denim. I gave this look a more personal an unexpected touch by adding the bright blue v-neck sweater from J.Crew. Keeping the holiday spirit wasn't hard with the buffalo check tie; any plaid tie can do the same. Remember to wear comfortable shoes like these from Rockport, you might be standing up all night making small talk. Now, you're ready to enjoy the festivities.

FW Street Style

Street style has become an important part of fashion week. I was caught here on my way to one of the shows earlier this week. I was going for an All-American look with the leather jacket, t-shirt and jeans. No fuss- just cool.

Made In The U.S: Bluer Denim

July has come to an end and so this month's series of Made In The U.S concludes with Bluer Denim. What better way to finish off this celebration of American made products than by featuring a great denim brand which also has devised a way to help those in need, with their Buy One, Give One initiative. Great Design and Comfort: #RockportChallenge

I was asked to participate on the Rockport Challenge where an Adentro Style reader and I had to wear a pair of Rockport shoes from the Total Motion Collection. I chose their Chelsea boot the Total Motion Boot. This boot is so light-weight that it almost seems like your not wearing shoes. I walked around Brooklyn Bridge park to test them out and they were great. I felt like I could walk in them all day long. If I have a long day ahead with work and then an event these are my new go-to shoes.

The lucky reader to join me in the challenge was A. Rane. He works all day on his feet and commutes on his bike. He chose the Total Motion Wing Tips. Here he styled them with black denim and a t-shirt, keeping the more formal wing tips cool and relaxed. He's basically worn his new Rockport wing tips every day! Lots to look forward to: True Religion SS14 Collection

Whatever comes to mind when you hear True Religion but to the side and take a look at these picture featuring their Spring/Summer 2014 collection. Who knows you might find your new favorite v-neck tee and maybe even your favorite new pair of jeans. They're taking their signature horseshoe and making it a little more discreet and the contrast stitching you might have seen in the past will be in less items and thus giving us more great options. Below you'll see a few pictures from the presentation and some at the showroom. All in all, I'm very excited of what's to come in True Religion's Spring 14 collection and you should too!

Rugged New Look Of The True Religion FW 13 Ad Campaign

One of the best parts of any given september issue is flipping through all the ad campaigns, at least it is for me. This season one of my favorites is from True Religion. The campaign stars Karmen Pedaru and Gavin Jones in these rugged desert scenes. Inspired by the film "The Getaway" it resonates with the American imagery we all come to identify with from the west. I think the new creative direction of the ad is right on point.
