Summer Smile
How has your summer been? Please tell me you've had BBQs, trips to the beach or taken advantage of all the fun the warmer weather has to offer. I can't hold back a smile as I think of all the adventures this season and there are still a few in store.
NYC's Spring Palette
Spring is officially here but sadly, it seems some places have not
received the memo! NYC is one of those places, so here we are, yearning
warmer weather but having to still wear our winter gear. I've found a
few pieces that will help you during these days of climatic uncertainty. For starters, I
found this rich blue windbreaker from Robert Graham, the perfect
extra layer during spring. This winter season, turtlenecks have been the MVP and
the grey ribbed turtleneck from Life After Denim is keeping me nice and
warm even during spring. If you are looking for a cap to add to your collection Gents
always has a wide variety. I love this wool stripe one that gives me
that extra bit of warmth on the old noggin.

Outfit of the Day featuring T.Christopher
T.Christopher has been on my radar for some time now for their great swimwear and because their clothes is made in NYC. I'm glad I was able to have the chance to try out a couple of their pieces a few days ago while enjoying the day in Central Park in NYC. Their concept is about being able to transition from the beach to wherever the day takes you with ease. I wasn't going to the beach but I was not going to let that stop me from enjoying the cool plaid trunks and pink pique polo.
So, two things I hope you've learned. 1- T.Christopher has some cool pieces. 2- Don't be afraid of trying out new colors.

| Confession- It was my first time wearing pink. I've avoided it at all costs. I'm not even sure why! That's no longer the case. |

Stay Cool With Seersucker
The summer weather is creeping in ever so slowly here in NYC. I'm ready for whatever comes our way with my new seersucker short sleeve shirt from Haspel. This brand is from The South so they know a thing or two about how to stay and look cool when the temperature rises. They've been doing it since the early 1900's! I paired the seersucker shirt with one of my favorite ripped jeans from Denim & Supply and Clarks desert boots yet another brand with a rich history.

Frenchies and the Upper East Side
On a perfect spring afternoon in NYC I met up with a couple of new friends, Louie and Oliver, for a stroll on the Upper East Side. We admired the tulips in the middle of Park Avenue then hung out on a stoop and had a grand ol' time.

Fair Isle Look for NYFW
Whether you're planning what to wear apres-ski or going about town- I loved wearing this look for New York Fashion Week: Men's. The fairisle sweater is as classic as a tweed herringbone blazer and this one stays true to its roots and still has a cool urban feel. In addition to the sweater I also wore wool utility joggers. This is the first time I wear joggers and think this is as far as I can go for this trend.

Stay Warm This Winter
Temperatures have dropped in NYC and not gonna lie, I'm excited about it. This means it's also time for coats and parkas and not just light layers. I'm a huge fan of monochromatic looks. This all black look is an easy way to stay warm and look on point.

A Holiday Statement Piece
It's T-6 days until Christmas which means we are still in the midst of holiday festivities leading up to the big day! I'm sure you have a nice bow tie ready but you did that last year. Try this on for size, a beacon print cardigan. This one is from Denim & Supply and I absolutely love it. Every time I wear it I get compliments, it's warm and comfortable- all really important points. Here I styled it more casual but its easy to dress up with a white shirt or denim shirt and chinos. This cardigan will help you make an unexpected fashion statement at any gathering.

What I Wore: NYFWM Day 1
One of the main factors for what I'm going to wear on a certain day is the weather. That's very tricky in a place like New York where the weather shifts from day to day. Luckily, what I had in mind to wear on Day 1 of New York Fashion Week's Men was right on point. These cargo pants by Original Penguin are awesome! The fit is called
Rogue and someone at the shows told me he thought I had them tailored
because of how well they fit. The shirt from The Tailory NYC I've featured before but thought it was perfect to wear to the shows. Considering how warm it was I was comfortable and looked put together. Score!

My Spring Go-To's
My four legged friend Baci, joined me to show you one of our favorite go-to spring looks. For spring I wear pieces that can work no matter what mother nature has up her sleeve. You can't go wrong with a water resistant jacket, just in case it rains and the weather channel forgot to mention it. I also like to brighten things up with a light blue button down and blue sneakers. During the winter I tend to wear a lot of black, navy is my transitional color. And as a personal trick I like to wear chinos if it rains- they dry faster than denim. What are some of your spring go-to pieces?

What can I say, even my canine friends are stylish. // Ojo- Baci tambien tiene puesto algo especial. Su collar es de Cambridge Satchel Company por Peanuts. Que te puedo decir, aun mis amigos caninos visten bien. |

What I Wore: Transitional Spring
We are in a month that can almost be considered spring but yet mother nature is not on the same page. One day the temperature is in the 50's and others in the 30's. Here's what I recommend for the slightly warmer days, the days you'd gladly venture out to the park and sit in the sun for your lunch break. The key is if you need to layer, make sure they are cotton so that they breath easier. If you like the look but it's a bit too cold add a blazer or denim jacket depending on how causal you want to look. Also, glad to say that for the first time I'm wearing a polka dot shirt! I'm slowly getting used to it so I wore a sweater on top of it so the polka dots are just showing every so. This is in a new venture for me and I'm taking baby steps. I'll show you the whole shirt in the near future, promise.

Woodies: Made For You
I've talked about different custom made clothes before on the blog and one of the things they all had in common was that you needed to have someone take your measurements or for you to measure yourself. Woodies has found a way to bypass that by having you enter the most basic information like your weight and height. If you know your neck size and sleeve length awesome, fill it in too. If you don't, no worries, Woodies will take care of the rest. Pick the fabric, favorite collar, cuff style and more. Now that the temperature is getting warmer and you'll be wearing less layers you will want to make sure your shirt fits right. Don't just take my word for it- check out the site!

BREDA Watches
I decided to dress up a bit with a blazer and tie and still keep it comfortable with a pair of Wrangler RED jeans. Adding my Breda watch was a no-brainer and the look came together seamlessly. Freedom of self-expression through style is Breda's mantra and they are doing it really well. Aside from Breda's great designs are the great prices. You'll just have to check them out on their site, Bredawatch.com!

Winter Favorites

Not sure if you're like me but sometimes I find myself wearing the same thing every other week. This winter for starters, I'm reaching out for this felt backpack from Burton which is heaven sent. There is so much storage space and a built-in sleeve for my lap top. It's perfect for traveling. Skagen watches are known for their great design but once I saw the grey face and dark grey felt strap I knew I had to have it. Also, Caputo & Co. is all about beautiful men's accessories and this sleek black bracelet is just one example of the vast array they offer. The Belstaff vest is such a great fit and the tan color is very unique. And of course, a chambray shirt is always a smart choice all year round. What are your winter favorites?
Cable Knits Are For Fall
| Sweater- Nautica | Shirt- Threads For Thought | Jeans- Wrangler RED | Glasses- Classic Specs |
The cable knit sweater is one of the season's staples. Luckily, there are a lot of options out there on fabrics and patterns. For these transitional months, a cotton cable knit sweater is thick enough to keep you warm but not so warm you're sweating if the temperature get's a bit warmer. Pair it with a plaid flannel shirt and you are set.

Take Summer To Fall
Mother nature has quite the sense of humor. Fall is technically hear but the temperature is in the 80's one day and in the 60's the next. There is no need for heavy leather boots just yet. Here is one look with two different footwear options to help with the flux. The first option is Teva, with their collaboration with Woolrich (available 11/15/2014) this sandal and socks combination keeps it ultra comfortable. The second option is canvas sneakers like these Gola sneakers. I kept the Woolrich socks and added the white canvas sneakers to brighten things up. These options will help you find that in-between look you might be searching for while the temperature is ever-changing.
