Great Design and Comfort: #RockportChallenge

I was asked to participate on the Rockport Challenge where an Adentro Style reader and I had to wear a pair of Rockport shoes from the Total Motion Collection. I chose their Chelsea boot the Total Motion Boot. This boot is so light-weight that it almost seems like your not wearing shoes. I walked around Brooklyn Bridge park to test them out and they were great. I felt like I could walk in them all day long. If I have a long day ahead with work and then an event these are my new go-to shoes.

The lucky reader to join me in the challenge was A. Rane. He works all day on his feet and commutes on his bike. He chose the Total Motion Wing Tips. Here he styled them with black denim and a t-shirt, keeping the more formal wing tips cool and relaxed. He's basically worn his new Rockport wing tips every day! As I was looking through the Hugh & Crye website I saw a lot of great shirts. All I was thinking about is how I didn't want another white or blue shirt. Luckily, they have a wide variety of colors and cuts. I chose the Mather, it's a perfect light grey grid pattern and it'll transition from summer to fall with ease. The color and small pattern lend itself to be considered a neutral color. I think a wide variety of ties will go great with this shirt because of the light shade and size of the pattern; they wont compete with each other. The fit is great, it's comfortable and I can make a lot of combinations with it- three very important things.

Don't know about you but there are certain shoes I don't even bother tying, I just slip them on and go. I heard about Hickies, elastic bands you can add to your shoes and decided to try them out. My running shoes became my guinea pigs. The colorful elastic bands are very secure- I felt a very firm hold throughout my run. I especially like when things fit seamlessly with what I already own. As you can see my Brooks running shoes and Hickies look like they were meant for each other. Hickies come in a variety of colors so you know there is something there for you. I got to see it first hand and have to tell you pictures don't do them justice. The craftsmanship is exquisite and the leather impeccable. As years have passed by my appreciation for the finer things has grown, I can now better appreciate the work and details that have gone in to these designs and execution.
