Year-End Thank Yous

Looking back on 2012, I'm filled with gratitude for the experiences and people I've met along the way. I'd like to make this post a thank you letter to my family, friends, to all who contributed and of course you, the reader!

A big thank you to the amazing interviewees model Akin Akman, actor Ryan Vigilant, director Vincent LaCrocq and leather goods maker Noah Marion. Thank you for taking the time to share what makes you passionate about your craft.

It was a great year for collaborations on Adentro Style with photographers and writers like Renee Rouleau, Alex Burkhuch, and Nathan Tran.

Some great adventures were had this year especially my trip to New York Fashion Week where I attended about dozen shows. Also, I was able to meet some of my favorite menswear designers like Michael Bastian, Carlos Campos and Luis Fernandez.

Another highlight of the year was the opportunity to become a men's style contributor on Rue La La's blog!

As you can see this year was filled with a lot of new types of posts like What I Wore, Favorite Four, and even gift guides. One that sticks out is my first music review for Two Lights Band.

Lastly, the most touching experiences was collecting shoes and hand delivering them to an orphanage in Mexico. Going there personally and handing out the shoes to each child was a very humbling moment I will never forget and will be forever thankful.

Pensando en este año estoy lleno de gratitude por las experiencias y personas que pude conocer. Quisiera dedicar este post con mucho agradecimiento a mi familia, amigos, todos los que contribuyeron, y especialmente y ti el lector.

Muchas gracias a las personas que entreviste este año como el modelo Akin Akman, el actor Ryan Vigilant, director Vincent LaCrocq, y Noah Marion.

Fue un buen año con tantos contribuyentes incluyendo Renee Rouleau, Alex Burkhuch, y Nathan Tran.

Unas de mis aventuras este año fue de asistir a New York Fashion Week a donde vi mas de una docena de desfiles de moda. Ademas pude conocer algunos de mi diseñadores de ropa masculina favoritos, Michael Bastian, Carlos Campos, y Luis Fernandez!

Otro acontecimento importante fue que Rue La La me invito a contribuir a su blog!

Como pueden ver este año empece a escribir nuevos tipos de posts como Que Me Puse Hoy, Mis Cuatro Favoritos, y Guías para Regalos. El que resalta en mi mente es el primer comentario de música del grupo Two Lights Band.

Por ultimo, una da las experiencias mas especiales fue de comprar zapatos y llevarlos personalmente a un orfanato en Mexico. Al ir y entregar a cada niño un par de zapatos fue algo bien lindo y nunca me olvidare.

NYFW Runway Trends S/S 2013

New York fashion week has come to a close and yet there is still more to talk about. While I attended the shows I noticed a couple of trends, these are some of my favorites. The first, is monochromatic looks. You find all green, all blue or even all neutrals on the runways. The top pictures show the models wearing these elevated monochromatic looks with different shades of blue. What man doesn't love blue? This will translate perfectly to the streets. The other trend is the short suit or a jacket and a pair of shorts. The best part about this trend is that its easy to mix and match and to dress up or keep casual. La semana de New York fashion week a llegado a su fin y sin embargo todavía hay más que discutir. Por ejemplo, me di cuenta de algunas tendencias en los desfiles y estos son algunas de mis favoritas. La primera, es monocromática; vestir solo de verde o en azul, incluso en los neutrales. Las imágenes de arriba muestran los modelos vestidos en diferentes tonalidades de azul. A que hombre no le gusta el color azul? Esto se traducirá perfectamente al diario vivir. La otra tendencia es el traje corto o en otras palabras una chaqueta y unos pantalones cortos. La mejor parte es que es fácil de hacer diferentes combinaciones y vestir de una manera mas elevada o mantenerla casual. Cuales tendencias fueron tus favoritas?

"Sweden From Above"

The J.Lindeberg Spring/Summer 2013 collection delivered sleek tailored looks and wonderful layering. The colors were muted blues, greens and earth tones. Both the women's and men's collections were elegant and refined as we have come to expect from J.Lindeberg. La colección de Primavera/ Verano de J.Lindeberg 2013 nos trai looks sofisticados y clásicos y estilismo moderno. Los colores son tonos oscuros  de azul, verde, y cremas. La colección de varones y mujeres es elegante y refinado como hemos llegado a conocer de J.Lindeberg. Hubo algunos looks monocromáticas para los chicos y para las chicas había un poco de encaje y hasta un vestido de cuero.

Its been very hectic at work "so much to do and so little time" as they say. Now I'm back and excited for the upcoming posts.

I've had a love for the color grey for a long time now. When I saw this editorial it had to be included in this blog. As creative director Jim Moore point out, grey jeans is where it's at. From left to right- J.Lindeberg, J.Brand, Diesel, Gilded Age, and Prada.

I stumbled upon this video and it shows what its like during a shoot. Well, it's more like a cliff notes version of what goes on. Thought you'd like. On a side note I worked with the female model Dorothea Barth Jorgensen on a Max Mara Elegante ad campaign and she is lovely.

This shoot was a lot of fun. Like all shoots there was always a little crisis, it was pouring rain that morning. We thought the shoot was going to be cancelled. Luckily, the sun came out and it was perfect day to shoot. From these images you wouldn't think so.

Esta session de foto fue bien divertido. Como todas las sesiones de fotos siempre hay alguna crisis, estaba lloviendo toda la mañana. Creiamos que se iba cancelar todo. Pos suerte, el sol salió y fue un día perfecto. No lo creerias por solo viendo estas fotos.
